Differences and similarities between 6*4 tipper and 8*4 tipper truck

Both 6×4 tippers and 8×4 tippers are common heavy-duty lorries used for transporting and unloading goods, and their main differences lie in the vehicle's drive form, carrying capacity and applicable scenarios. The following are the similarities and differences between these two types of tippers:

1. Number of drive axles and structure
   - 6×4 tipper: 6×4 represents that the vehicle has 6 wheels, 4 of which are drive wheels. Specifically, a 6×4 tipper is usually a three-axle vehicle, where the front axle is the steering axle and the rear two axles are the drive axles. It is suitable for medium load transport tasks.
   - 8×4 Tipper: 8×4 represents a vehicle with eight wheels, four of which are drive wheels. It is usually a four-axle vehicle in which the front two axles are steering axles and the rear two axles are drive axles. This structure gives the 8×4 tipper a higher carrying capacity and makes it suitable for heavy and large-scale transport tasks.

 2. Load carrying capacity
   - 6×4 tipper: with only four driving wheels, the overall carrying capacity is slightly lower, usually suitable for medium-sized cargo transport, capable of carrying larger loads, but less than 8×4 tipper.
   - 8×4 tipper truck: with more driving wheels and more axles, it has a stronger carrying capacity and is usually used for transporting goods of larger weight, especially in heavy transport tasks such as construction sites and large mines.

 3. Applicable scenarios
   - 6×4 tipper truck: it is suitable for general roads and flatter transport tasks, such as city construction, cargo transport on ordinary roads, etc.
   - 8×4 tipper truck: it is suitable for transport tasks that require strong carrying capacity, usually used in large-scale construction projects, mining, heavy material transport and other scenarios. It also has better passability on rugged and harsh roads.

 4. Mobility and manoeuvrability
   - 6×4 tipper: relatively more flexible, smaller turning radius, suitable for narrow roads and urban construction sites.
   - 8×4 tipper: due to two more drive axles and longer body, the manoeuvrability and handling is relatively poor, especially on narrow construction sites or city roads not as flexible as 6×4 tipper.

 5. Fuel Consumption and Costs
   - 6×4 tipper: Compared with 8×4 tipper, 6×4 tipper has lower fuel consumption and relatively less operating cost. Due to the lighter body, the fuel efficiency is higher.
   - 8×4 tipper: due to its heavier weight and more drive axles, fuel consumption is relatively higher and operating costs are more expensive.

 6. Prices
   - 6×4 tipper: the price is more moderate, suitable for users with more limited budget.
   - 8×4 tipper truck: due to the more complex structure and stronger carrying capacity, the price is relatively higher.

 Summary
- 6×4 tipper is suitable for general load transport, with better manoeuvrability, suitable for flat roads and more spacious construction sites.
- 8×4 tipper has a stronger carrying capacity and is suitable for tasks that require heavy loads and is particularly suited to heavy transport tasks, but has relatively higher fuel consumption and poorer manoeuvrability.
